About me

Abdullah Tayyab

I build software for people who can't afford for it to go down — clinics with unreliable power, field workers with no signal, government systems that can't have gaps in the record. My background is unusual for a web developer: five-plus years keeping government infrastructure running, before I ever shipped a line of code for a client. That's exactly where the obsession with reliability comes from.

Who I am

I'm Abdullah Tayyab — online as Ellife Dash — a full-stack developer based in Punjab, Pakistan, working remotely with clients anywhere. For five-plus years I've operated critical infrastructure for Punjab Police by day, and spent my off-hours building real software for real problems: clinic systems, citizen-facing healthcare tools, monitoring tools, and whatever else a local problem actually needed.

I care less about flashy interfaces and more about software that works offline, loads fast, and respects the person using it. This site reflects that: quiet, readable, substance over spectacle.

What I do

I build full-stack web applications with the MERN stack, offline-first PWAs, desktop apps with Electron, and Chrome extensions — whatever the problem calls for. I still run and maintain internal government platforms on the side, which is where the obsession with reliability actually comes from. See the full list on my services page.

How I think

  • Offline-first. Networks fail; software shouldn't fail with them.
  • Readable over clever. Code and copy should make sense to someone else in six months — including future me.
  • Small, sharp tools. Solve the real problem, then stop building.

Currently

Finishing my BSc in Computer Science at Virtual University of Pakistan, and working through CS50 and freeCodeCamp on the side. Always up for a conversation about offline-first architecture, clinic software, or government tech.
